Since January 2009, dbl O has organised a series of creative art and design events in collaboration with local aspiring
artists. As part of its goal to nurture local talent and create a vibrant arts community, dbl O has launched the following
ongoing campaigns:
- dbl O ART SPACE: A monthly revamp of the mural on the two walls at PRB@dbl O. The artist-of-the-month is also encouraged to exhibit a series of artwork, thus creating their own "art space" out of a traditional gallery.
- WHITEWASHED: This is a two-week project presented in the form of a collaboration between two selected local artists. The middle of the dance club is "whitewashed" and, based on a current cause, the two artists are given the freedom to exercise their creativity on the walls. Previous themes include "global warming", "war" and "green planet". This allowed the artistes to speak out on current issues in the language of their art.
- The Aerosol Project: "The Aerosol Project" provides a "blank canvas" for local graffiti artists in O Bar, our sister brand where the main wall of the bar provides artists a space to exhibit their graff pieces.
